WLKF -- How Lakeland Spells Talk!

Mark Stevens' Bio
Well let’s see…where to start. I was born in Washington D.C. and moved to Lakeland when I was 4. I have been here in the Lakeland area on and off most of my life. I graduated high school from Lakeland Christian, I know that doesn’t say much for them but hey it was their mistake to sign the diploma, and then moved to Orlando to work for the Rat. That’s right I worked for the mouse don’t remind me, I twitch when I think about it.
After a stint at Disney I decided that I wanted to get into the education field and went back to college. That lasted about as long as the break in the Allman Brothers tour and off I went again.
I moved to New York for a couple of summers and worked at a camp for disabled kids and adults and then decided to come back to Lakeland once again. I went on the road with a Grateful Dead cover band shortly after coming back to Lakeland and the next thing I knew I was living in Chicago. Another short stint!
It wasn’t long after I came back from Chicago that I landed at WLKF, I started out here almost 7 years ago as a board operator for the Bucs games. It wasn’t long before the Mayhem all started.
I thoroughly enjoy waking up every morning and coming in to host Mayhem in the A.M., Lakeland has been a great supporter of local radio and the Mayhem listeners are the best. Thanks for stopping by my bio for a read, here’s a list of some of my favorite websites so you can play along with the show at home.

Mark's doggie, George. No, that's not a flash reflecting in his eyes, he always looks like Satan's dog, waiting for just the right moment to rip out your jugular.

The not-so-angry pirate, Marrrrk Stevens.

Mark (on the far right), plays onstage with The Braxton Hicks
at Molly McHugh's during his 30th birthday bash.
